Bob Dougherty is Head of Advocacy & Impact at Buckle. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, he spearheaded the launch of Buckle CARES, a pro-bono program that helped rideshare and delivery drivers access the grants and loans of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. At no charge, Buckle assisted its insurance policy holders, automating the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) application so they could easily submit and receive critical funding. Bob is a career Army Infantry officer and veteran. While on active duty, he served with units in both general purpose and special operations forces, deploying twice in support of combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He currently serves as a reserve officer with the United States Military Academy at West Point. Bob has a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and drives part-time for rideshare, food delivery, and package delivery services.
