About this speaker
Frank Giaoui is the founder and CEO of Optimalex, a publisher of AI based insurance and legal decision support SaaS focused on the prediction of claims outcome and damages quantification.
His previous background lays in cross border mergers and acquisitions, fundraising and transition management with Hera Finance, the corporate advisory boutique he founded in 1996. Before that, Giaoui worked as a manager and a partner with Bain & Company, Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) and Kingfisher PLC. Giaoui holds a Post Doc JSD (Doct.) in Law and Economics from Columbia Law School in New York City, a PhD (Doct.) in Comparative Law from Sorbonne Law School in Paris, France, and an MBA from ESSEC Business School in France. He was a Research Scholar at Columbia Business School and led empirical research involving scholars in Computer Sciences, Law and Economics from both sides of the Atlantic. In 2018 and 2023, he defended two doctorate dissertations on the Law and Economics of damages compensation. Today, Frank teaches this class in Master 2 at University of Lorraine, Metz Law School. Previously, he was a Visiting Professor in Corporate Finance at ESSEC Business School.
Frank is a director at the board of The Fondation des Etats-Unis (FEU) on the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris.
Frank served as the Academic Liaison for the visiting scholar program at the invitation of the Dean of International Programs at Columbia Law School, and as the Special Advisor to the President of University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne for their development and capital campaign in the USA.
